Knowledge of RE Curricula
Each congregation has unique needs for Religious Education curriculum and programs. As a religious educator, I would survey the church before recommending one program over another. These are a few of the programs I have used:
Certifications
  • Trained Facilitator, Jr./Sr. High Our Whole Lives.
  • Possibly becoming a Trainer of Trainers for Our Whole Lives, i.e. eligible to teach and certify others to become Our Whole Lives Facilitators (could be an additional source of income for UUCB).
  • Certificate in Sexuality and Religion, Pacific School of Religion, 2008.
  • Certified in CPR and First Aid.
Unitarian Universalist Trainings Attended

I have participated in the following trainings for religious educators: New DRE Workshop (LREDA Fall Conference October 2011) Interim DRE Training (July 2010), Jr./Sr. High Facilitator Training for Our Whole Lives (Murray Grove, NJ July 2009), Unitarian Universalist Identity (West Chester, PA Spring 2009), Dynamic Unitarian Universalist Youth Ministry (Starr King School for the Ministry, Berkeley, CA April 2008), and Starr King Symposium 2012: Living in the Differences: Counter-Oppressive, Multi-Religious The( )logies in the 21st Century with Dr. Ibrahim Farajajé.

All of these experiences contribute to my work in family ministry.
